My Therapeutic Goals:

Psychotherapy can improve our quality of life by expanding how we think, feel, and connect. My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I work with you in a collaborative therapeutic relationship to develop goals that meet your needs. Therapy is an opportunity to make sense of your life and discover a path to meaning. With every step towards awareness comes a more profound understanding of who you are and what you desire for your life.

My Path So Far:

Many of my early work experiences focused on child and youth programs, including work at a group home for teenage girls. I have worked with neurodiverse children who have taught me that we all interpret and navigate the world in unique ways. For many years, I owned and operated summer restaurants. I started with one late-night restaurant, and over the twelve years, I grew to four. The service industry is a place where I learned how work can affect our mental health and how crucial it is to find a balance in our lives.

I am a traveller by nature and have spent time visiting many different places worldwide. Travelling has helped me to appreciate the depth and breadth of the human experience. My true happiness comes from travelling with my children and exposing them to other cultures. While travelling, we try to unplug and live in the moment while enjoying our time together as a family. Being able to guide my children to recognize what is essential in life has helped us become closer as a family, and they are slowly realizing the value that experiences are more important than the accumulation of things.

Life is meant for continuous learning, and my path toward finding a way to help others led me to a career in psychotherapy. I live in Collingwood, Ontario and love this incredible community’s active, four-season lifestyle. In my spare time, I can be found enjoying the outdoors with my young family and participating in the many activities our community offers.

The Process of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is one of the best ways to better understand who we are and what we want for our lives. For individuals to increase their well-being, it is necessary to understand who they are through a deeper exploration of themselves and their experiences. A genuine connection between client and therapist is crucial to successful therapy. I advocate that physical and mental health are essential for individuals to be their best.
