About my work

Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and free to explore your inner world at your own pace.

I see therapy as an opportunity to get to know yourself more deeply, to understand how your experiences, relationships, and patterns shape how you think, feel, and respond to life.

In our work together, I act as a non-judgmental partner. We’ll gently explore how your past may be influencing your present, while also focusing on the challenges you’re facing right now. Over time, the goal is to help you feel more in control, more aligned with your values, and more confident in who you are.

This process is collaborative and paced around your comfort level. We build trust first, everything else follows from there.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Relational Psychotherapy
  • Person-Centred (Rogerian) Therapy
  • Humanistic Psychotherapy
  • My path into psychotherapy has been shaped by both academic training and diverse life experiences.
  • I completed both my undergraduate degree in psychology and my master’s degree at McKendree University, where I also spent five years playing competitive hockey. Following that, I played professional minor league hockey in Sweden, an experience that exposed me to new cultures and perspectives while continuing my academic journey.
  • After returning to Canada, I worked in children’s psychological assessment as part of a traveling team, supporting communities across Ontario, from northern regions like Kashechewan to southern areas such as Brantford. This experience deepened my respect for the resilience of young people navigating complex challenges.
  • I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), and continue to build on my clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • A warm, approachable, and non-judgmental space
  • Therapy paced around your comfort level
  • Focus on understanding patterns and building self-awareness
  • Practical support alongside deeper exploration
  • A collaborative, supportive process

My background in athletics has shaped how I understand discipline, resilience, and growth, all of which influence how I support clients in their own development.
