About my work

I offer a space where you can feel seen, supported, and gently encouraged to explore whatever you’re carrying. I don’t see healing as fixing what’s “wrong,” but as reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been unheard, pushed aside, or forgotten.

My approach is grounded in the understanding that healing isn’t just cognitive, it also lives in the body and nervous system. Some experiences are difficult to put into words, and that’s where expressive arts therapy can offer something different.

In our work together, we may use creative modalities like movement, visual art, writing, sound, or natural materials to explore what’s beneath the surface. This process is intuitive and accessible, you don’t need any artistic experience. It’s about expression, not performance.

I see therapy as a collaborative and co-creative process. Together, we create space for healing, listen to what your body and imagination are communicating, and explore new ways of being with yourself.

My intention is for our sessions to feel like a place where you can reconnect with your voice, your inner resources, and a sense of possibility, and perhaps even experience moments of play, curiosity, and lightness along the way.

  • My path has taken me across different countries, communities, and ways of working with people. I grew up moving frequently, and those early experiences shaped my curiosity, adaptability, and openness to different perspectives.
  • Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education for many years, teaching in diverse environments including Europe, South America, and Indigenous communities in Northern Canada. I’ve also supported refugees, newcomers, and families navigating major transitions.
  • Across these experiences, I witnessed how creativity, connection, and a sense of safety can open space for growth and self-discovery, especially when people are given ways to express themselves beyond words.
  • My own journey with stress and burnout led me to explore more embodied and creative approaches to healing, which eventually brought me to train as an expressive arts therapist. This work felt like a natural extension of what I had always been drawn to: creating spaces where people can be curious, tell their stories, and reconnect with themselves.
  • I also have a personal and professional connection to supporting neurodivergence and the complexities of identity, diagnosis, and self-understanding. Additionally, I bring lived experience in immigration and cultural transition, which informs my work with clients navigating similar paths.
  • A gentle, non-judgmental space
  • Creative and body-aware exploration
  • Collaborative and co-creative process
  • Sessions that go beyond words
  • A balance of depth, curiosity, and lightness

I’ve always been drawn to creativity, storytelling, and the ways people make meaning of their lives. This continues to shape both my personal life and my work.

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

Not at all. This work is about expression, not skill. No artistic experience is needed.
Each session is different. We may talk, but we might also explore through movement, drawing, sculpting, writing, or other creative processes, depending on what feels right for you.
Yes. Everything we do is collaborative. You’ll never be pushed into anything that doesn’t feel comfortable.
Yes. My approach is especially supportive for younger clients, as it allows for expression beyond words.
Yes. Expressive arts therapy can be deeply supportive for adults, not just children and teens. Creative expression can help adults explore emotions, memories, and inner experiences that may be difficult to access through words alone, supporting insight, self-understanding, and healing
Yes, I offer psychotherapy sessions in Spanish as well.
