We are excited to announced that Rhonda Breitbach will join our practice as our newest psychotherapist. Learn more about Rhonda.
Hi, I’m Rhonda and I’m delighted to be joining the team here at CPYC as an Expressive Arts Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I value the holistic, heart-centered approach to care here at CPYC—especially the integration of body-based practices like yoga therapy. This aligns closely with my own work, which brings together creativity, somatic awareness, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years as a teacher in a wide range of settings—from classrooms in Spain and Ecuador to newcomer programs in Vancouver, to Cree communities in Northern Quebec, and more recently, in elementary schools across Simcoe County. My journey has always been guided by a love of storytelling, relationship, and the magic that happens when people feel safe enough to explore who they are. These threads led me to train at the CREATE Institute in Toronto, where I completed my diploma in expressive arts therapy and began my path into psychotherapy.
In my practice, I support clients navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and neurodiversity. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up just as you are. The process is collaborative and creative—we might use art, movement, writing, sound, or found objects to help give shape to your inner experience. I also draw from somatic and trauma-informed approaches, recognizing that our bodies and nervous systems carry stories too, and that healing often happens through more than words alone. And don’t worry – you don’t need any prior experience or artistic skill —just a willingness to explore.
What excites me most about this work is witnessing people reconnect with their inner resources, creativity, and sense of possibility. My hope is that our sessions can offer space to reflect, feel, imagine, and practice new ways of being—both within yourself and in your life beyond the therapy room. I’m looking forward to co-creating those spaces with you and being part of a team that shares such a meaningful, integrative vision of healing.
